We are asking for help from the community
Please help us make this adjustment and thank you for your understanding. Here’s what you can do to help, and what we are doing to make it as convenient for you as possible
Our Parking Strategy:
We have procured the empty lot that is at the corner of Redwood Rd and Skyline Blvd for over flow parking! (Click here for more information.)
We are offering parking to women who are CAMPING in the lower Bort lot. There is a $15/car per day for the parking. I’m so SORRY we have to charge that, but we will have additional expenses to cover as a result of this parking situation… And hopefully the parking charge will encourage all of you to CARPOOL because you can share that expense, or get someone to drop you off. There will only be 40 spots at lower Bort for CAMPERS. It is first come first serve… SO REGISTER NOW!
The empty lot at the Redwood Rd and Skyline Blvd will be an overflow lot for Campers and Day Use women. We will have attendants there to help park and to monitor the lot. There will also be a $10/day per car charge for that lot. WE WILL BE RUNNING SHUTTLES ALL DAY AND AT NIGHT TO AND FROM THE PARKING LOT ON REDWOOD! Click here for the Shuttle Schedule and print a copy for yourself.
DAY USE WOMEN: there is lots of on-street parking around the same Redwood Rd/Skyline Blvd intersection. So we are asking you to park on the street there and we will shuttle you to camp and back from the empty lot area. We are asking this of Day Use women because you will not be leaving your car unattended overnight.
I REALLY appreciate everyone’s support and input around this issue and offers to help. Lets come together as a community and get this done… CARPOOLING or RIDESHARE (Lyftt and Uber) will save our residence at Bort. Otherwise the Park Dept is going to not allow us to come back if we cannot get the parking issue organized…. thanks for your support and help with this…
SEE YOU THIS SUMMER!
The Most Important Thing Is To Carpool!
Help other women get to camp, or look for a ride yourself. There is a Facebook site: Born To Drum rideshare and parking where you can connect with other women. Also on the registration form there are questions that ask you if you are carpooling already; can give a ride; or need a ride. As we are handling registration we will try to connect women who have space in their cars with women
who need rides.
