Born to Drum was birthed as a reunion of women drummers from all over the US and from all over the world. This will be the 14th year that we gather to celebrate culture; to make new friends and rejoice at being with old friends. We come together in community to drum, to share music, art, our stories, healing and women’s medicine with each other. Join us! Click here to Register!

We have lots of Non-Drumming Classes

We welcome women to come who do not drum, or don’t want to drum all day! The non-drumming classes will include: hands on healing circles, poetry writing, the Mother Peace tarot cards, spirit-sound meditation, art classes, grandmother’s council circle, social justice alliance building, herbal medicine, altar making medicine, yoga, embodied movement, dance classes, singing classes and more.

Youth Village

We will also have the Kids Camp this summer. We will have a kids canopy, play items, and activities for our children this year. Bring your kids! Boys are welcome – 10 years old and under. Please click here for the Youth Village Schedule of Activities!

Work Study is OPEN!

Work-study is available for women who would like to attend camp but can’t afford full camp fees.  Work-study tickets are available for $20 to $0 each day.  BTD values and depends on your work offering.  This year, work study is available in four areas. The Work Study program helps us to make Born to Drum accessible to all women. Hundreds of women have attended Born to Drum through work study since the start of Born to Drum in 2006.  Some of the tasks for work/study women are listed under the main menu item BTD Camp information.   If you would like to register for Work/Study please contact Ngaire at:  womenborntodrumcamp@gmail.com

The Born to Drum 2019 Faculty will be Maestra drummers, dancers, musicians, artists, writers and healers from ALL OVER THE WORLD:  Congo, Ghana, Peru, Hawaii, Panama, Nicaragua, Jamaica, US, Native American, African American, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Middle East, West Africa, Zimbabwe and more.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations before July 16, 2019 are subject to a 25% service fee. There are no refunds for cancellations on or after July 16, 2019.
